If you live in a dangerous neighborhood, installing security bars around your windows is necessary for keeping harms away from your home. Windows make the easiest ways for burglars to enter a home, thus ensuring them being barred becomes vital. You don’t have to get professional help on installing security bars on your home windows, as it is a simple DIY task when you have the right tools and guide for it.
Here is a simple way to install security bars on a window:
Things you will need
- Measuring tape
- Drill
- Security bars
- Carpenter’s pencil
- Security screws
- Drill bits

- Take measurements of your window, where the security balls will be installed. Place them up against the window, and with the pencil, draw a mark at where the fastening screws will be placed.
- Drill the placement holes now in the window frame opening to where you made the marks.
- Placing the security bars against the windows, screw in the screws into the window frame.
- Repeat the steps on all other windows.
