Replacing a damaged ceiling tile is not difficult at all if you have the same matching tile in store. The simple trick on changing the damaged tile is by cutting off the top lip of the grooved edge of the new one.

Here is how you will replace the damaged tile:

  • Cut the damaged tile with a knife or a tile cutter and slice free the edges. Remove the damaged tile.

  • Trim the edges of the new tile with a metal straightedge for accuracy.

  • Clear all old adhesives from the old tile and apply fresh adhesive.

  • Fit the tongue edge of the new tile into the hollow first, pivot the patch into place, and then press the tile into position and hold it for a few minutes. Once the adhesive sticks to it, let go.
