Thin hair could be very frustrating, whatever the cause maybe. There are just handful of remedies that can possibly make your hair look thicker. There are a number of shampoos and hair cosmetics available in the market which claim they can do the magic but seldom does anything work. Hair can be quite deceiving when it comes to volume. Some appear to be a lot in volume but in real they are hardly a few that have been strategically done to make them appear as they do.

Here we will share with you some very simple tips that you can do at home to make your hair look thicker and way more in volume naturally :

Conditioner:  You will find a lot of products that would call it “hydrating” or maybe “smoothing” on the bottle but its most because they have oils in them to make them look straight and shinning but on the other hand wont allow them to gain any volume at all. So, if you have less hair please stay away from extra conditioners.

Blow drying: Don’t forget to spray a heat protector on your hair first . Flip your head over and start blow drying preferably with a round brush.  After you feel that the moisture is gone, flip the hair back over and do it the other way.  You will notice that the volume of your hair will be almost doubled. Avoid straightening hair later because that takes all the volume away and makes them look extremely flat. Use rollers if you want to make them look fancy for events.

Hairspray:  Search for hair sprays that have volumizing effects. After blow drying just put a light amount of hair spray on your blow dried hair so they remain fixed in the same position and don’t get flat after sometime, if you have a long day ahead.

Layers: Hair cut can play a major role in putting volume to your hair. If you have thin long hair then you may want to cut them a bit short so they can look more in volume. Longer hair don’t tend to make your hair look more in volume because of the weight they carry which makes them look flat and thin. The next time you go to your saloon for a haircut, tell them to cut them in layers. Layering, gives a very textured look which gives off a feel of thicker hair.

Brushing:  Try not to brush your hair a lot, this process stimulates oils from your scalp which makes your hair look very flat.  If you really do require a tool to fix your hair then you may use a wide mouth wooden comb.

Washing Your Hair: you may have heard this one a thousand times before but don’t wash your hair on daily basis with shampoo. You will benefit from this by getting fuller looking hair at the roots, and just use dry shampoo in-between washes… but that does not mean you cant body shower..that you must everyday 🙂

Scalp Shading: If you feel you have bald patches on your head due to less hair, you can always put matt eye shadows on the affected area. If you have brown hair you make sure you choose a relevant shade that does not look too obvious and if you have black hair you know what to choose. Just carefully apply eye shadow with a help of an eye shadow brush on the area where you think you skin is visible on your head or if you feel your hair part seems a bigger than usual you may want to apply it there too. This gives a very good look of thicker and fuller hair by hiding the skin.
