Here is a step-by-step guide on how to hang drywall in your basement.

What you will need:

  • Drywall screws
  • Drywall saw
  • Safety Glasses
  • Drill
  • Pencil
  • Drywall
  • Marker

How to make the drywall:

  1. Install thin panels to the wall and put up the drywall so that a substrate can form with the panels. Use the marker to mark cutouts on the drywall. This is for transferring the electrical outlet cutouts. Set the drywall in place and press it next to the boxes.
  1. With spacers, as you begin picking up moisture from the concrete. Leave a ½ inch space between the floor and the drywall.
  1. Use the drywall saw to cut the outlet imprints you have marked. Now secure the drywall to the studs. Make dents with screws on the paper. Make lines on the drywall as you screw in the drywall.
