Forgetting to check the pockets before throwing your clothes in the washing is so common. The real trouble arises when the clothes are in the dryer and a stray bubble gum gets stuck to it. Here are some remedies for getting gum out of a dryer:

Step 1 : Get some Ice Cubes

Ice cubes are great for getting rid of the gum in dryer. Simply put some cubes in a plastic bag and placed it against the gum for a few seconds. This will harden up the gum. Take a non stick spatula and scrape away as much gum as possible.

Now make a mixture of equal amount of vinegar and water. Soak a cloth into it and try to remove the rest of the gum from the spot by rubbing the cloth over there.

Now throw in some towels in the dryer. Set the dryer on the highest heat setting for 10 minutes. This will help in getting rid of the remaining gum residues. You can remove the gum with the help of a non stick spatula.

In case there are still residues of gum left behind, move on to the step 2.

Step 2: Get a Fabric Softener

Take a clean piece of cloth and soak it in a fabric softener for a while. Now place the cloth against the gum blotches. It will peel off the remaining residue. Use a non stick spatula for scraping it off. Place the soaked cloth once again if any of the residue is left behind and repeat again.

By this time the gum should be out of the dryer. Now simply wipe the affected area with the vinegar and water solution.
